Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway
Trail Amendments

To the Sixth Edition of the Trail Guide with map

Note: the following changes are walking Northbound from Mt. Monadnock to Mt. Sunapee to follow the mileage chart in the Trail Guide Sixth Edition.

There is a major relocation coming in May/June 2007 on the lower section of the Dublin trail (on Mt. Monadnock). With this change, the .04 mile road walk section on the Old Troy Road will be eliminated. This relocation should be very obvious and is being implemented by NH State Parks and SPNHF in conjunction with building a new trail head parking area.

6.3 miles north of Mt. Monadnock, the Spiltoir site tent platform is now a three-sided shelter (completed Summer 2006).

25.3 miles north of Mount Monadnock, the Fox Brook Campsite now has a tent platform (built in the fall of 2007).

26.7 miles north of Mt. Monadnock or North of Jackson Hill in Stoddard, near the beaver pond, there is a major trail relocation as of 6/1/04. The relocation is blazed in blue, it is suggested you use this route to avoid knee deep flooding of the trail in the Barney Brook snowmobile bridge area. (This is highlighted on the latest version of the Trail map)

37.3 miles north of Mt. Monadnock, the Max Israel campsite now has a tent platform.

43.1 miles north of Mount Monadnock, the Moose Lookout Campsite will soon be a three sided shelter, to be completed by October 1, 2008.
